Testimonials
Sam Luxemburg, the Principal of the College creates a warm and intimate learning environment where there is equality of spirit, and where the foundation principles of empathy, congruence and unconditional positive regard are practised.
Sam has an amazing capacity for genuine love and compassion for everyone. His holistic approach is to use the students’ issues and experiences as grist for the teaching mill, where theory becomes secondary to one’s personal understanding of oneself.
The skills learned in Sam’s course will not only lead you to becoming a certified counsellor, I feel positive that they will also become your life skills.

I found the Basic Skills in Counselling course an exciting and challenging introduction to the Certificate in Personal Counselling. Counselling is a field that I have long been interested in but, until now, unsure how to pursue.
Sam Luxemburg presents the Basic Counselling Skills course in a relaxed and stimulating environment, with personal experiences and development the keys to success over dry theories. I felt I was involved with real people experiencing real life issues.
I would highly recommend the course for those who are ready to explore where they are at and where they are heading, those ready to explore and change the dynamics of their family, work and social situations, or those who - like me - are wishing to use the specific approach and skills as a career path.

If I have never told you this I thank you and always appreciate the support, encouragement and opportunities you provide.
You are without doubt one of the most wonderful, special and important influences in my life. You really do make a difference in the world.

The tears, the laughter, the anger, the rawness and intensity of this powerful course has helped me to know that it's ok to be me, even if that means I'm scared, or observing and checking what's coming out of my mouth. I have choice and my choice is good for me in that moment.
I have much more awareness. I'm constantly checking inside myself to see how I feel, asking myself what am I feeling, saying, doing as I'm speaking to people, particularly if I'm feeling nervous or fearful.
I feel much more peaceful about myself; my self-acceptance is greater now than it has ever been. I'm beginning to love myself, even if in my eyes I've stuffed up. I'm stronger in my resolve to be there for myself, to trust my own intuition and guidance.
I feel like I've come home, that I've finally found a place where I can practise what I feel – TO LIVE EACH MOMENT AS MY TRUE SELF - and it's a very, very good place to be!
